smooth lightning lakes
went away for a few days, over Christmas - brought back a few pictures.
a photo diary about the natural beauty of the pacific northwest and the sports that I love - climbing, hiking, skiing, running, kayaking, snowshoeing or just hanging out at the beach

it's snowing in Vancouver - in record volumes. 30cm downtown and 45cm in the outskirts.
I love the peace and quiet that a snowy weekend brings.

We are having a heat-wave here in Vancouver. Nothing better to do than to have a beach-side picnic on Saturday night, and watch the sun go down.
Bliss.

...meanwhile, the fog and the snow still rule on Paul Ridge near Elfin Lakes. Such is our geography in the Pacific Northwest. You want snow? It's an hour away. Play golf? Courses are open. You prefer the ocean? Jump in, the water's fine.
After the winter misery - uh,I mean fun - this past weekend, I think I'll go kayaking this coming Friday night.
